It's family reunion time! We gathered in Fredericton this year. Patrick came from Calgary.
Grandson, Erik, on the right with his partner, James, came from Ottawa. I knew I liked James right away when he put ice in his wine!
Stephanie and Randy came from Bracebridge. Jennifer, Alina and Doug made the long trek from McAdam. Jennifer made yummy moussaka. Sadly, Jeff, Nadine and the boys had other plans that weekend. They were missed.
Doug was quite proud of his selfie!
Back yard photo: Kim, Jim, Jennifer, Doug, Alina, Erik, Stephanie, James, Patrick and Ilona. I just realized Randy is missing. Yes, he took the photo, but I thought he made the mad dash to get into it.
The next day we hit the Boyce Farmers Market and then had dinner at Wolastoq Wharf. It was delicious!
Sunday morning it was off to St. Andrews. Ilona, Jennifer, Doug and Alina chose to go to Minister's Island, while the rest of us booked a whale watching tour. Check in for the tour at the Pirate!
Ahar matey!
This guy was right into character and having a great time!
It was a lovely day and we spent some time walking around.
Randy managed to catch all of us in one shot...well done!
Great place for hoodies and sweatshirts...
Mmmm ice cream and chocolate...can't go wrong here.
The lobster at Green Gables...a must stop!
I can't say I've ever been in here...
Low tide...
James and Erik enjoying the view...
Not sure if the buoy has some significance?
We headed down to the boat...a star fish!
And here's the Jolly Breeze...
It really was low tide!
The crew was great!
We scoffed as the crew put on jackets and toques. Really? It was a lovely day. Little did we know what they already knew.
Finally a picture with Randy our photographer. Thanks for all the great pics, Randy!
Here we are all optimistic and dry...
Yes, guilty of being on my phone, but Damian's baseball team was unexpectedly playing in the provincial finals. Had to keep an eye on the score.
The guy on the right was funny. He spoke to us when we got onboard and next thing we knew he adopted us.
Randy and Stephanie...Seals...but we never did see a whale.
OMG who's laughing now. We were wet and cold. You got a lot of spray on board, and, to top it off, it started to rain. We were so cold!
Lovely lighthouse...
They brought out some live sea creatures to handle gently.
I was so glad to get back to the car and put the seat warmers on!
The next morning we had a yummy breakfast at the Coffee Mill.
Erik and James were leaving that afternoon. Some grandparent pictures...
Three generations...
A lovely morning for the walking bridge...
Jeff, Nadine and Damian returned from their time away, so we had a chance to have dinner with them before Stephanie and Randy left.It was a great visit! Thanks to everyone for coming. See you next year!
