Arriving at the marina...the instructions were few and far between, and it was hot, so people were trying to find a place to stand in the shade. All of a sudden people started moving and, like sheep, we followed along. See? No instructions required!
Lots of different boats...
To the catamaran...
There was an open bar, lots of places to sit in the sun or the shade, and lots of people to talk to. We ended up beside a family from Saint John. Go figure!
And apparently we would be snorkeling around that rock...
Yup, give me the floatie belt. Last time I tried snorkeling, we jumped in off the boat. I inhaled in order to blow the water out of the snorkel. Big mistake! I spent the next five minutes choking and gasping and trying to hang onto the boat. This seemed like an easier entry.
The water was so clear and there were so many schools of fish. I wished that I had a camera to photograph them.
Waving from the middle of the group...I did swim over to the island. The coral around it was amazing. It was so much fun.
Ha! Jim has mastered the art of taking a surprise selfie!
Back at the boat...that was fun! The fish were so pretty.
Pretty happy with that part of the excursion!
A little fun on the boat on the way to see the dolphins...
I thought we would be sitting in the stands like a Marineland sort of thing...nope! Up close and personal with Kiki, a 19 year old dolphin.
We got to pet him as he swam by...so smooth and sleek.
And a few tricks...hands in the air and Kiki dives!
Wow! Great shot, Jim! Kiki flying through the air!
Looking pretty pleased with himself!
They call this the Michael Jackson moonwalk. He was up and flying backwards through the water so fast. That tail (or I guess it's called a fluke) is amazingly strong!
And then some fun for Kiki...
Let's splash everyone!
Whee!
And then a kiss for everyone...
For 10 pesos, Kiki would take you for a ride. Come on! When was I going to have a chance to ride a dolphin again? Let's do it!
Bye, Kiki! Thanks for the fun!
Back at the Sanctuary bar for a glass of wine...the sky was so blue. A black bird looking down at us...
Hmmm...I call this design a cheat!
And the sun set on a fun day in Cuba!
Back to the beach tomorrow...
